Support Schedule

As newer versions of Symark PowerBroker and Symark PowerPassword are released, support is terminated for certain prior versions of the products. Check the following list for the current product obsolescence schedule.

Symark Product Version Support Policy

Definitions

Symark product versions feature new functionality and have two-digit product numbers (e.g. PowerBroker 4.0, PowerPassword 3.2). All customers should upgrade their installations to the latest version.

Product releases with three-digit product numbers (e.g. PowerBroker 4.0.5 and PowerPassword 3.2.1) do not contain new product functionality - they fix problems with the current version. They are considered maintenance releases. It is not necessary to upgrade your installation unless you experience the problem fixed by the release. Releases are frequently unique to an O/S and fix an O/S-specific issue.  Please consult with Symark Technical Support to determine whether a maintenance upgrade is suitable for your situation.

Version Support Policy

Symark only supports the current and previous versions of its products. For a short period after a new version is released (typically four months), Symark provides a transition period by supporting the new version and the previous two versions.
